La Senda Verde Academy has programs for educational visits from schools that allows kids to learn about the problem of wildlife trafficking in Bolivia. At the same time the programs seeks to involve students in practical conservation activities and labours related to the maintenance of the animals at La Senda Verde.
Next Thursday 20th of September, 190 students from the San Ignacio School at La Paz will be visiting LSV. They will be planting flowers in the vicinity of LSV so that the bees and butterflies have more food and thus supporting their conservation.
The students will be also participating in a series of ludic and educational activities that are directed by their teachers thanks to the manuals that are given to them prior to their visit. These manuals allow teachers to carry out activities with a high educational value so that their field trip is injected with a higher dose of education.
Education regarding the environment and about the problematic of wildlife trafficking has been one of the main goals of LSV, besides taking care of the animals that are victims of this cruel practice. We firmly believe that it is this education that will seriously reduce the problem of wildlife trafficking in the future.
