ACS Calvert School First Graders Adopt Three Animals

On a special adoption program designed just for them, the three first grade classes of the ACS Calvert School in La Paz Bolivia, have participated in fundraising activities to support the maintenance expenses of three animals at La Senda Verde for the month of May.

These animals are: Mara, the paralytic spider monkey and baby monkey surrogate mother; Tunita, an owl monkey; and Bambino, the male deer. These animals have been chosen by the students at ACS to be benefited with the funds gathered by them in different fundraising events they carried out, one of them the sale of puma paw key chains.

The kids were able to raise 3044bs which are 445 dollars, and will be used to support the maintenance expenses of the animals mentioned.  It’s not the first time that ACS Calvert school kids actively participate in fundraising activities for La Senda Verde. They do so almost permanently. We couldn’t be so proud about them, the kids, the parents and the staff involved, we thank you with all of our hearts.
