We reported that in November we faced an emergency where we had to invest hundreds of machine-hours in repairing the river because of a flash flooding, and that this work was halted because of a lack of resources. Work on the river was reactivated during the month of December because of the beginning of the rain season where constant rains have been raising the river level and we’ve been forced to take preventive measures.
The containment wall we built with donated tires as well as all the work done in November has weakened with the new rains and we had to retake some work. Coroico’s municipality has participated with 60 hours of work on the main road which was at risk of collapsing. We again invested 16 hours of machine, which we are owing to the machine owner, whom is awaiting for us to have resources to pay him. If you would like to collaborate with this emergency, you may do so, donations are our only hope.
