We had informed previously this month about Kantutani having built and delivered the raw structure of a new aviary. We want to briefly inform the audience that this new aviary is far from being finished, and that we have come up with whole new ideas and plans about how these aviaries (the new and existing one) will be used.
We have more than 50 birds that are in quarantine and need to be urgently moved into a new area. We are working this week on building roofs, small houses, feeders and water systems. We are also building galleries that will allow visitors to enter the aviaries and see the birds from a whole different perspective. Visitors will also be able to buy special fruits and seeds to feed the birds from the galleries.
Birds will now be divided in macaws on one aviary and parrots on the second one. We estimate to finish all the furnishings in two weeks. The total estimate cost of the project is 30,000BS, some $4,385 dollars. Sorry we don’t have any photos yet!
